AUTOMOAI

Born in 1990, based in Kanagawa, Japan.

After entering high school, AUTO MOAI studied design at a vocational design school, focusing on graphics and typography.

 

They began creating artworks around 2015 and held their first solo exhibition in the same year. In 2018, they published the art book Endless Beginning and provided illustrations for SUPREME.
In August 2020, they held a solo exhibition at “MangasicK” in Taiwan, followed by Big Ass Beyond Mountains at Gallery Ascend in Hong Kong (2021), and PERSONAL LIFE with Andy Rementer at everydaymooonday in Seoul (2021).

Since then, AUTO MOAI has held numerous solo exhibitions throughout Japan. Among their works, the Anonymous series—developed around 2020—has become a defining body of work. 

In 2025, AUTO MOAI participated in the art project for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
