Mami Yamasaki

Mami Yamasaki creates luminous cityscapes and landscapes that transform familiar places into vibrant fields of light and movement. Through a distinctive visual language of layered color and radiant lines, the work captures not only the appearance of a place, but also its atmosphere, energy, and sense of presence.

What draws me to Mami Yamasaki's work is the way light becomes a storyteller.

In the artwork in this collection, Station, the sweeping lines of light seem to trace the movement of people, time, and everyday life. What could have been a familiar cityscape instead feels vibrant, personal, and full of energy.

The longer I look, the less I see a place and the more I feel its presence.

Yamasaki focuses on painting clusters of lights in the city.

Her painting style has earned her a reputation as a promising newcomer, and she is beginning to attract attention in the secondary market as well.
